Embrace Green Smoothie

What better way to start your day and embrace your body than by nourishing it with this amazing smoothie.  This smoothie is a great introduction into the green smoothie world. Why? Because it tastes SOOOOO amazing, you’re gonna love it!  My great friend Taryn Brumfitt contributed this fabulous smoothie.  I couldn't be more proud of the work she is doing around the body image movement and her new movie called EMBRACE. Mantra: I love & embrace my body! 

*Detoxifying, *Antioxidant, *Gut health

  • Prep: 5 mins
  • Yields: 1 Smoothie

Ingredients

2 handfuls of spinach, fresh

1 scoop of hemp protein powder

1 banana, frozen

Handful of mixed berries ( blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries)

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Dash of flax oil

1 teaspoon of Maca powder

1 teaspoon of honey

1 cup of water (add more if it’s too thick)

2-3 ice cubes

Directions

1Add ingredients to a blender.

2Blend and energize for the day.

Pro tips: I love using Manitoba Hemp Protein. It is organic, quality and has a great taste, plus keeps you full!

If this smoothie is a bit too much all in one sitting, drink half for breakfast and save the other half for a snack later in the afternoon.
