Raw Coco Brownies with Sunbutter Frosting

Entirely raw, this chewy, crunchy and creamy dessert is simple to make and no cooking necessary!

Ingredients

Brownies

3 cups dates, pitted

1/2 cup sliced almonds

1/2 cup pecans, chopped

1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

3/4 cup cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Frosting

1/2 cup Sunflower seed butter

1 Tablespoon coconut oil

Directions

Brownies

1Add all ingredients into a food processor. If using a blender, add in smaller amounts not to overwhelm the motor or blades.

2Once all ingredients are combined and dough is formed, transfer the brownie mixture to an 8x8 pyrex.

3Press dough down with hands.

4Chill in freezer or fridge to firm up before frosting brownies.

Frosting

1In a glass bowl, combine coconut oil and sunflower seed butter.

2Warm in the microwave for 1 minutes and stir to combine.

3Frost brownies and place in freezer to firm up for about 15-20 minutes.

4Take out and cut into 12 pieces.

5Serve and enjoy!

Sunflower butter can be subbed for Almond butter or any other nut or seed butters.
